[The girl’s voice is hesitant and filled to the brim with suspicion, and her body is still tensed, waiting for a sudden movement or noise to alert her to the presence of another person or thing.]

[She reaches for kurogamon, and is momentarily surprised to find the sword is missing. She grits her teeth and turns around, looking at the bed where she had just been laying. Nothing. Damn. She sees a door, but who knows what’s on the other side? She paces across the floor with her head held in her hands, now. As much as she hates it, she should just wait for something to happen.]
